CHICAGO—Wrigley announced the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program is launching new resources to give dental professionals tips and insights to make the patient experience more enjoyable, and ultimately, help grow their practices.

The Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program has a longstanding commitment to partnering with dental professionals. The program draws on decades of clinical research and expertise about the oral care benefits of sugarfree gum, backed by Wrigley’s heritage of bringing bright experiences to consumers through its products.

When brushing isn’t possible, chewing sugarfree gum can help keep teeth healthy by activating saliva, which is a way to help protect teeth. Knowing that patients enjoy getting samples after their visit, dental professionals can still receive an Orbit Sugarfree Gum Sample Kit through the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program.

But now, they will also benefit from monthly emails featuring exclusive insights on what patients want, fresh ideas and helpful tips on how to build stronger patient relationships, advice on how to communicate between visits, and stories from successful practices. These new resources from the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program leverage research the company conducted in 2015 with more than 2,000 dental professionals and patients to learn more about what patients are looking for in a dental visit.

“Our research showed multiple opportunities for dental professionals to enhance their patients’ experiences – something dental professionals know is important, but can be a challenge to tackle,” said Caroline Sherman, senior manager of external affairs at Wrigley. “Wrigley is excited to help dental professionals meet these challenges by providing new resources through the refreshed Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program.”
