The “Big 3” Habits of Millionaire Dentists

Last month, I hosted the Dental Success Summit 2013 in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ.

All I can say is WOW!!!

I was amazed and humbled at the talent and enthusiasm of the doctors and their teams that showed up for the event. It was a very special group of people…

Dentists and their teams traveled from all over the United States and Canada… and for two days the energy in the room was electric!

We covered all of the systems that I have designed and implemented into my businesses that have allowed me to grow from one struggling dental office to a collection of six massively successful dental practices as well as 74 dental assisting schools throughout the United States.

There was however, one dominant theme that we kept returning to… the habits that separate the “Elite” dental practice owner from the masses in the profession.

It’s tough to boil an 18 hour seminar into a few lines in an email, but the “Big 3” were as follows:

  • Strategic Positioning – By positioning yourself as a leader in your community, as a trusted authority and as a doctor that connects a deeper level with patients, you can literally eliminate all of your competition because you have effectively turned yourself into a category of one.
  • Implementation- The biggest challenge facing practioners today is not the lack of information necessary for growing your practice, but rather the lack of implementation of the systems that will help them to become the undisputed leader in their market. By remaining focused, collaborating with success-minded dentists and surrounding themselves with people that possess an abundance rather than a scarcity mindset, success and implementation is inevitable!
  • Delegation- I currently run two dental practices, a dental assistant school, a national company with 74 locations, a dental business coaching and consulting company, I am a full time practicing dentist and on top of it all, I have a wife and three sons under the age of nine.  None of this would be possible if I had not mastered the art of delegation.  You MUST determine the tasks that are creating the most value in your life and delegate out EVERYTHING else. If you focus on minutia every day, you’ll lose sight of the big picture and never reach your full potential. Relinquishing control over the small stuff is a skill that every peak performer must master.

By focusing on the “Big 3,” I believe that any dentist, in any market can experience monumental growth in their market.

If you are currently frustrated by the performance of your dental practice or are just looking for that edge that will propel you to the leadership position in your market, please don’t hesitate to visit the Dental Success Summit website or email… I’m here to help.
