What is Hygienetown?

Hygienetown began with a simple goal—to connect hygienists around the world. Hygienetown links hygienists in a profession that can be rather isolating. Through our interactive online communities, hygienists communicate more effectively and become more proactive in their ongoing search for clinical information or new products and services. We provide an avenue for hygienists to share problems and passions to ask questions and question answers.

It can be a lot to handle! That’s why Hygienetown has created and compiled an array of resources.

We make finding great content on the message boards easy. You can find all of the days best topics in the Active Topics section. You can also subscribe to the content you want to see the most by subscribing to specific topics or following your favorite Townies. Each time there’s a new post, you’ll be notified by email to check it out.

Townie Meeting
Townies feel camaraderie all year long on Hygienetown, and it reaches its zenith every spring when we meet in person at Townie Meeting, our annual get-together in Las Vegas.

Don’t be misled by the word “meeting”—that may be the term used to describe when dental professionals gather in one place, but Townie Meeting isn’t your average dental meeting. It’s equal parts gathering, happening, reunion, dental rave and educational showcase.

Dentistry is intimidating and can feel very solitary. Becoming a part of the camaraderie of Townie Meeting can do wonders for your professional career and confidence. At a meeting built on the pillars of learning and community, you’ll have the chance to network with new and seasoned hygienists alike, making friends and mentors for life.

In addition to the great courses, an amazing exhibit hall and friendly faces, we host nightly social events with free cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

This year’s shenanigans will mark the 15th Townie Meeting, and will take place April 19–22 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Take advantage of early bird pricing through Dec. 31. The meeting includes access to several days’ worth of courses and network opportunities, complimentary breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks, and free nightly social events.
