2. HOLODENT in Israel has developed a new holographic scanning device for intraoral 3-D modeling. This start up firm noted that it has reduced the design time for new dentures to as little as 30 minutes.
3. PURELIFE DENTAL in Santa Monica, California announced that it will provide 1000 dentists in the US with a free ECO II amalgam separator. This $500,000 program is called the Make a Difference Grant.
4. ORAVANOSA in West Orange, New Jersey began marketing a new oral appliance with an open anterior design for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
5. Over 74,000 new dental assistants will be needed in US dental offices by 2022, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
