Synopsis:
In a series of 18 minute talks, the biggest names in dentistry share their wisdom and express their thoughts on how to make dentistry more effective, more efficient and more enjoyable.
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Rich Rosenblatt founded the Northern Illinois CEREC Study Club, one of the largest CAD/CAM study clubs in the United States. He is a moderator for the CEREC forum on Dentaltown.com and a software alpha and beta tester and certified speaker for Sirona Dental Systems. Dr. Rosenblatt is a CEREC basic trainer for Patterson Dental, on the faculty of Cerecdoctors.com and in the CAD/CAM division at the Scottsdale center. Dr. Rosenblatt graduated in 1997 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He presently owns a dental practice in Lake Forest, Illinois, focusing on digital dentistry.
Dr. Tarun Agarwal maintains a full-time practice emphasizing 3D implant and restorative dentistry in Raleigh, North Carolina. He completed extensive continuing education with dental leaders Dr. Ross Nash, Las Vegas Institute, Dr. Frank Spear and the school of hard knocks. His energy, passion and unique practice approach make him a nationally recognized lecturer.
Trisha E. O’Hehir, RDH, MS a graduate of the University of Minnesota, has a clinical and educational career spanning four decades. She is the editorial director of Hygienetown.com and editor of Perio Reports, which provides monthly scientific research summaries for clinicians. She and three dental hygiene colleagues founded O’Hehir University, an international online educational institution providing an oral health based bachelor degree completion for dental hygienists holding certificates or associates degrees. O’Hehir lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a past president of the Arizona State Dental Hygienists’ Association.
Dr. Lee Ann Brady earned her DMD degree from the University of Florida College Of Dentistry. She has worked in a variety of practice models as an associate and as a practice owner. Dr. Brady joined the Pankey Institute in 2005 as their first female resident faculty member and was promoted to Clinical Director within a year. She joined Dr. Frank Spear in 2008 in the formation of Spear Education and the expansion of his curriculum. As the Executive VP of Clinical Education at Spear Education, she managed the development and delivery of all programs in addition to her teaching responsibilities until June of 2011.
Dr. Michael DiTolla became the director of clinical research and education at Glidewell Laboratory in 2001. He is the editor-in-chief for Chairside Magazine and has a monthly column on restorative dentistry in Dental Economics. He has been lecturing on restorative dentistry topics since 1995.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to achieve the following:
Learn how technology can increase office production. Understand the appeal to patients in going to a technologically advanced dental office. Understand the advantages of digital impression taking. Understand how technology increases the likelihood of implant success. Learn why periodontal disease is now preventable.
