We've Gone Digital!

Trisha E. O'Hehir, RDH, BS
Editorial Director,
Hygienetown Magazine
Welcome to the digital version of Hygienetown Magazine. It's the same format and exciting content you've come to expect from us – no changes there. The big change is, we've gone green! We're saving trees and we're helping you clear out the clutter by archiving every issue of Hygienetown Magazine on our Web site for you. No more overflowing bookshelves or piles of journals to read. We have it all stored for you and it's so easy to access and read online (or print out individual articles). Every month, when the issue is ready, we'll e-mail a link to you so you never miss an issue.

Connectivity between our publication and the Hygienetown.com community was always a main goal of ours, and with our digital version, when it comes to connectivity you haven't seen anything yet. Flip through the pages of this digital issue and when a message board discussion catches your interest, simply click the box at the bottom of the article to join the actual online discussion. The same holds true for the free CE course highlighted in the magazine. If you want to take the course, just click on the page in the magazine describing the CE course and it will take you there.

Hygienetown has always been about you and others like you – from down the street or on the other side of the world. It's the place you can raise questions, share expertise and make friends. Discussing treatment philosophies, new products, technology and cutting-edge therapy options are topics key to providing high quality patient care. Discussing and debating topics with colleagues provides greater learning and more fun than simply reading topic-focused articles.

You work hard to achieve the best quality care for you patients. You keep up with new technology and trends, you attend continuing education courses and you read vanguard dental hygiene publications like this one. You are now an online Townie, reading this digital version of Hygienetown Magazine, thus making your contribution to going green. Now it's easier than ever to join in on the popular dental hygiene discussions by simply clicking on the link in the message boards in this magazine. See you in the discussions!
