How to Get Your Article Published in Hygienetown Magazine
At Hygienetown, we celebrate great hygienists who do great dentistry. As part of our mission to serve and grow our community, we’ve updated our editorial process to make our members' voices central to what appears in the magazine.
Hygienetown has adopted a community-driven content-selection model. Before an article is considered for publication in the magazine, it must first be posted on our members-only message boards.
Step 1: Post Your Article on the Hygienetown Message Boards
• Navigate to the most relevant message-board category for your topic.
• Create a new thread and post your full article (or a shortened version, if preferred).
• At the top of your post, include this note to help readers understand the process:
Editor's Note: This article is being shared as part of Hygienetown Magazine's new editorial review process. Authors post their work here first to invite feedback and discussion from the Hygienetown community before we decide whether to include it in a future print issue. Your comments — questions, suggestions, or constructive critiques — will help strengthen the final version and make it more valuable for readers.
Step 2: Send Us Your Post Link
After your article is posted, email the direct link to the Hygienetown editorial team at
michele.jerrell@farranmedia.com. Our team will:
• Monitor your thread and encourage community engagement.
•
Track feedback and discussions to help refine your article.
• Consider the piece for print publication based on its popularity, feedback, and quality.
Why This Process Matters This approach makes Hygienetown Magazine
community-driven and collaborative:
• Lively dialogue: Posting early sparks conversations and gives us a live comment thread to reference when the article is published.
• Stronger content: Real-time feedback often surfaces follow-up questions, counterpoints, and insights that make the final version even better.
• Community-driven selection: If space is limited, we prioritize articles that have generated the most engagement and interest.
Sponsored Content Option
If you'd prefer
not to post on the message boards, Hygienetown also offers branded/sponsored content opportunities that bypass the community-driven process. To learn more, please contact our team at
