Having Santa Goes To The Dentist beside you in your treatment room is a great way to calm the fears of young children on their first visit. Take a few minutes, and tell the story. Santa Goes To The Dentist, written by Nathan Steingart and illustrated by S.B. Dow, is a children’s book which tells a colorful tale of Santa’s visit to his dentist. A unique feature to the book is the inclusion of a read-along CD. The audio CD offers fun sound effects as the author himself narrates the story. This set is a sure way to involve children in a story about good oral hygiene.

In addition to the book, a coloring book is also available. The coloring book is letter-sized and offers large pages for children to color. Young patients could then color and read along as the story is told.

This book was written three years ago as part of a series of books.The series depicts what Santa does for the rest of the year. In addition to visiting the Dentist, Santa has adventures which include: getting new glasses, taking a vacation, going to the barber, celebrating Thanksgiving, and having a birthday.

The author, Nathan Steingart, spent 35 years in the jewelry business before taking on writing. With the encouragement of his family and children, he began to write Santa stories. His goal in writing Santa Goes To The Dentist was to ease the fears kids have about going to the dentist and to help promote good oral health in young children.

The illustrator, S.B. Dow, which is actually a pen name compromised of the first letters of five of his cartoon characters, spent 25 years in the IT industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed drawing. His hobby eventually became his career. Animation is another area of interest to S.B. Dow. He and Nathan have been working on moving the Santa books into animation for networks this year.
