Hygienetown Magazine is two years old! We’re kicking off our third year of publication with enormous support from dental hygienists like you. I
have received encouraging comments and compliments on the value that Hygienetown brings to your patient care and career from so many of you around the world. Thank you!
This year begins with a new, sophisticated design, thanks to Creative Director Amanda Culver. The magazine is now split up into three focus areas, which cover topics that are most important to you: Research, Clinical and the Business of dental hygiene.
Research includes Perio Reports, the “Cliff’s Notes” of research, providing evidence for making clinical decisions plus discussions dealing with evidence-based health care issues.
The clinical section focuses on questions and concerns raised by clinicians in the online message boards. Clinicians post questions, concerns and opinions while others continue the discussion with suggestions and information.
The business section covers career and employment topics influencing your practice of dental hygiene. Share your expertise and learn from others, through both the Web site and the magazine.
Hygienetown connects you to colleagues across the country and around the world sharing and learning from each other through online CE, discussions of the latest research findings, variations in therapies, solutions to problems, product advice, case presentations, or suggestions for managing your career. As Townie Detectivemom said, “It’s like talking to a friend you’ve never met, except it’s educational and fun to read.”
