New MagnaVu Scope

Dental procedures preformed like Medical surgery
Posted: July 28, 2005

Magnified Video Dentistry, a dental imaging products company has just announced the release of it’s newest product designed to allow dentists and staff to perform most dental procedures from a correct, heads-up, more relaxed posture position, similar to medical surgeons.

The new MagnaVu Scope produces precise, clear, highly magnified images, which eliminates the need for magnified loupes or microscopes and reduces eyestrain. By incorporating this new scope and a more ergonomic posture position during procedures, the MagnaVu can reduce aches and pains and may actually prolong your dental career by eliminating the need to constantly bend or lean over the patient. In fact, MSD’s (Musculoskeletal Disorders) are the number one reason for dentists retiring early. Imagine being able to perform lengthy procedures with your head up, looking straight ahead at highly magnified images on a 19” video display placed at eye level.

The MagnaVu will enable you to produce more, reduce wasted movements, save time, increase the quality of dentistry provided to your patients, and feel less strain and fatigue at the end of the day.

The new MagnaVu Scope allows you to take incredible Full Face and Cosmetic images eliminating the need for digital extra-oral cameras, and can produce the most amazing highly magnified intra-oral shots eliminating the need for magnified loupes, Microscopes, and intra-oral cameras. The MagnaVu can zoom all the way down into a root canal and display an image of a molar over 600 times larger than normal onto a 19” waterproof (meets OSHA standards) LCD display.

The MagnaVu (patent pending) comes with a built-in pointer to quickly align and aim the scope before procedures. The MagnaVu’s adjustable medical grade white LED light produces true color that can be focused from a _” pattern all the way out to a 7” pattern. In fact, it can even take the place of the existing operatory light. The combination of the MagnaVu’s amazing optics and the shadow-free light produces an incredible depth-of-field that makes it possible to provide a higher level of dentistry for your patients.

The easy to position scope arm allows for a 46” vertical adjustment and has a 72” reach. The arm can also fold up flat into an area 38” wide. The versatile unit can be wall, cabinet, or ceiling mounted. Images can be frozen in a full size or quad mode for patient education or can be downloaded and saved into our Digital Imagement software program for future reference or archiving. Voice may be recorded at the same time so exams or proposed treatment plans can be sent home with patients for review.

This unit is also great as a teaching device for schools or lecturers who want to demonstrate live or record dental techniques or procedures.
