(July 15, 2013) The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD) announces its updated 2013 training schedule for Standard Proficiency Certification for the Hygienist on the PerioLaseMVP-7. This course was designed specifically for those practices whose doctors have completed Laser BootCamp® on the PerioLase MVP-7 for the LANAP protocol. This course is now available to all LANAP clinician hygienists and support staff to help bring additional benefit to patients and value to the practice. The remaining 2013 schedule features classes located throughout the United States and Canada:

This course, organized in concert with Advanced Laser Training Inc., helps to maximize patient periodontal health as well as increase efficiency and profitability for the LANAP clinician with streamlined LANAP processes and introduction of value-added procedures for the hygienist, where allowed by the State Board. Graduates from the program will achieve Standard Proficiency Certification on the PerioLase MVP-7 and Laser Pocket Disinfection technique review and simulation. New skills will allow graduates to support the LANAP clinician during occlusal adjustment, case presentation, identification of post-operative needs, oral hygiene and post-op instructions, informed consent, and value-added hygiene procedures using the PerioLase MVP-7. Attendees will learn how to identify potential LANAP protocol cases as well as help patients achieve and maintain periodontal health. Eligible participants earn 8 CE credits for their participation.
