Ultrasonic Package

Parkell recently announced a special ultrasonic-scaler/insert package that combines the company's TurboSENSOR scaler with its three most-popular inserts at a dramatically reduced price. According to Parkell, the package price of $699 represents a savings of $109.97 over the normal combined price ($808.98).

The TurboSensor is described as one of America's most popular magnetostrictive scalers. It powers both 30KHz and 25KHz inserts, automatically switching its operating frequency to correspond to the frequency of the insert in the handpiece. It features autoclavability and a turbo mode that allows the operator to jump from low power to high power simply by increasing pressure on the foot-pedal.

The scaler package includes 3 inserts: a standard universal tip, a slim perio tip and a Burnett Power-Tip. The Power-Tip is reportedly the only slim tip powerful enough to remove flinty old root calculus.
