As part of its strategy to provide integrated imaging and practice management systems, Kodak has enhanced its KODAK 1000 Intraoral Video Camera System with USB 2.0 connectivity. USB 2.0 connectivity makes installation and handling of the camera system simpler and easier, and provides dental professionals with an even more efficient way to acquire images and enhance patient care.
The KODAK 1000 System with USB 2.0 functionality offers a more simplified camera installation. All a dental professional has to do is install the software and plug the system into a USB 2.0 port of a computer workstation. No additional hardware is required. The camera also features improved image quality, with crisper images for enhanced clinical capabilities and patient communication.
“Our improved intraoral video camera delivers a streamlined, digital option our customers can use to quickly and easily acquire video images and access them from their desktops,” said Paul Tucker, dental market manager, Kodak’s dental systems group. “We’re pleased to add this new camera system to our growing portfolio of integrated digital imaging systems.”
The KODAK 1000 System also features:
- KODAK imaging technology, including automatic adjustment to various lighting conditions, delivering the quality results dental professionals expect from KODAK digital imaging products;
- Single foot pedal control, for fast, simple operation;
- Dual settings allow users to capture both intraoral and extraoral images;
- Surgical steel handpiece with embedded light source and easy-to-operate focus button is lightweight yet sturdy.
The improved camera system comes complete with KODAK Dental Imaging Software version 6.0.5 for convenient image acquisition and management.
Images captured with the KODAK 1000 System can be displayed on a computer workstation or television monitor. Multiple docks can be purchased so the cameras may be shared in practices that wish to acquire intraoral video images in multiple operatories, increasing efficiencies and decreasing overhead costs.
Tucker also noted that the systems’ enhanced single-foot-pedal design conforms to Kodak’s time-tested customer promise, “you push the button, we do the rest.” The pedal permits users to quickly and easily freeze and unfreeze images, switch from intraoral to extraoral modes and switch from direct to mirror modes.
Like all of their digital imaging solutions, the camera is fully backed by Kodak’s quality service and support.
