Miltex, Inc. – York, PA.  Miltex Dental, a division of Miltex, Inc. announced today the introduction of the Thompson Jr. hygiene hand instrument in the GripLite®, GripLite® S6 and stainless steel size 6 handles.

The Thompson Jr. was originally manufactured in Missoula, Montana with the very popular Tactile Tone handle and is now being manufactured in York, PA in the GripLite, GripLite S6 and stainless steel size 6 handles. This instrument is designed to handle calculus in the most difficult to reach areas. The finely tipped scaler adapts to allow access interproximally to both the posterior and anterior portions of the mouth.

The Thompson Jr. is an excellent instrument to use on patients with healthy, tight tissue but who may have slight to moderate subgingival calculus. The length of the tip allows for easy access to this often difficult area. The Thompson Jr. was the first instrument of its kind and is now available in wider diameter handles. Customers who currently use the tactile tone Thompson Jr. are likely to be interested in the new, ergonomically designed handle options.
