Comprehensive Plan Prepares for Fire, Weather and Other Dental Office Emergencies
Milwaukee (November 19, 2007) – The Dental Record announced it would provide free CD copies of a new Emergency Dental Action Plan prepared by the Wisconsin Dental Association, and designed to help dental offices handle crisis situations.
“We all hope there never comes a day when an emergency action plan has to be put into place, however most offices want a level of preparedness,” explained Lee Johnston, president of The Dental Record. “Because WDA was responsible for its development, you know it was prepared with the needs of dental offices in mind.”
The multi-faceted Emergency Action was developed out of a need to help doctors and staff prepare for, through information gathering and sharing, handling office and community emergencies. The plan is based on the belief that preparing in advance for a crisis situation can reduce or even eliminate the negative outcomes affecting a dental office, its patients and staff, as well as the community.
Available only on CD, the plan provides examples of a wide range of forms used for detailing necessary employee and supplier contact information.
