Ribbon Cutting Kicks Off New ‘Your Spitting Image’
Traveling Exhibit at ADA Annual Session

BALTIMORE, MD (October 5, 2008)–Be the first to see Healthy Mouth, Healthy Body, a fascinating section of the new Your Spitting Image traveling exhibition from the National Museum of Dentistry at the ADA Annual Session in San Antonio, October 16-18. A ribbon cutting kicks off the introduction of the exhibition on Thursday, October 16, at 9:45 a.m. in booth # 2940.

WHAT:    The Healthy Mouth, Healthy Body section of Your Spitting Image features animated video about brushing, flossing and rinsing to reduce germs in the mouth and an exploration of the impact oral health can have on other conditions in the body, such as diabetes. Also unique to the exhibit is a sensory element that dares visitors to sniff bad breath vs. clean breath!

Your Spitting Image, an innovative new traveling exhibition from the National Museum of Dentistry, begins touring children’s and science museums around the country in 2009. Visitors can step into the role of a forensic investigator to solve mysteries, see what's in the remarkable fluid called saliva, and find out how scientists are using bioengineering to grow replacement teeth. Your Spitting Image is made possible by a lead gift from Patterson Dental Foundation with major funding from Johnson & Johnson Consumer & Personal Products Worldwide Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc., Planmeca Inc., Drs. Leslie W. Seldin and Constance P. Winslow, and Dr. Laurence E. Johns and Dr. Robert J. Wilson
