California Dental Association Foundation Accepting Nominations for Humanitarian Award

Sacramento, Calif. – The CDA Foundation is accepting nominations for the CDA Foundation Humanitarian Award. The prestigious CDA Foundation Humanitarian Award was established in 2007 to recognize dentists who have distinguished themselves by outstanding, unselfish leadership and contributions to fellow human beings in the field of dentistry.

The award recognizes individual volunteer commitment and leadership that has had a broad impact on oral health and the improvement of the human condition, or marked by actions that have enabled the dental profession to respond more fully to the individual needs of people at the local, state, national, or international level.

Recipients are only eligible to receive this award once. Recipients of this award will be recognized at an appropriate CDA event, presented with a humanitarian award, be recognized in CDA publications, and a $2,500 award contribution will be given by the CDA Foundation in the recipient’s name to a nonprofit of their choice.

Nominees of this award must be nominated by either a California Dental Association member or a local dental society executive director. The nomination deadline date is October 31. For more information on the CDA Foundation Humanitarian Award, please visit the CDA Foundation Web site at http://www.cdafoundation.org.
