Trimira™ Launches Comprehensive Version 1.0 Online Clinical Reference Library – Offers Clinical Reference for Identafi 3000™
HOUSTON, July 14, 2009 — Trimira™, makers of the ground-breaking Identafi 3000™ oral cancer screening device, have developed a comprehensive catalogue of clinical photographs shot by leading scientists and researchers. The images show multiple forms of oral lesions in an array of locations in the oral cavity under each of Identafi’s three proprietary multispectral lights, and will assist practitioners with the correct identification of multiple types of oral dysplasia and cancer
Trimira’s™ novel Identafi™ Technology, detects cancerous and pre-cancerous tissue in the oral cavity through fluorescence and reflectance, and has been making waves in the dental market since their product launch in March of 2009.
The broad array of clinical images is now available online as a clinical reference tool on the Trimira website (www.trimira.net/clinical-images). The images are categorized by location in the mouth, type of dysplasia, and appearance under each light wavelength. Now users can log-on and see exactly what lesions look like under Identafi 3000’s white, violet, and green-amber lights. This clinical tool gives users a higher degree of clinical accuracy and confidence as they utilize this cutting edge tool, which translates into better patient care.
The library is categorized into four main detection areas, the tongue, floor of mouth, buccal mucosa, and palate. Under each category, images feature normal male and female samples along with several series of different dysplastic oral tissue states including invasive cancer under the white, violet, and green-amber wavelengths.
The full library resource is available to registered users and a simplified, sample version is also accessible to non-registered health care professionals. The online catalogue is the first version of this invaluable practitioner resource and will be followed by a more comprehensive version 2.0 library in the coming months.
