American Association of Endodontists Selects New Leaders, Honors Members

The American Association of Endodontists appointed its 2011-2012 officers and added five new members to its Board of Directors during the association’s Annual Session, April 13-16, in San Antonio, Texas.

New officers are Dr. William T. Johnson, President; Dr. James C. Kulild, President-Elect; Dr. Gary R. Hartwell, Vice President; Dr. Terryl A. Propper, Secretary; Dr. Robert S. Roda, Treasurer; and Dr. Clara M. Spatafore, Immediate Past President.

New directors on the AAE Board are Dr. Tevyah J. Dines, District I; Dr. Richard L. Rubin, District II; Dr. Arthur L. Cole, District III; Dr. Bruce C. Justman, District VI; and Dr. Alan H. Gluskin, District VII.

The AAE also honored eight individuals for their commitment to the specialty of endodontics:

Dr. Denis E. Simon III received the Edgar D. Coolidge Award.

Dr. James A. Abbott received the President’s Award.

Dr. John T. McSpadden received the Ralph F. Sommer Award.

Dr. James L. Gutmann received the I. B. Bender Lifetime Educator Award.

Dr. Marc E. Levitan received the Edward M. Osetek Educator Award.

Dr. James R. Lance received the Spirit of Service Lifetime Dental Community Award.

Dr. Kimberly A.D. Lindquist received the Spirit of Service New Practitioner Dental Community Volunteer Award.

Rebecca Funderburk received Honorary Membership in the AAE.

New members of the AAE Foundation Board of Trustees are Dr. Samuel O. Dorn, Dr. Gary R. Hartwell, AAE vice president, and Dr. Roberta Pileggi.
