Synopsis:
The biggest problem in dentistry is that our market does not understand the value of our services. Many patients feel they are being sold to when the dentists/hygienist are simply doing their job via the diagnosis/treatment plan ritual. The dental team understands but the patients don’t. Dentistry is very frustrating when patients do not accept needed work. Most dentist and hygienist have Approval Addiction meaning they are wanting to please the patient which stands in the way of telling the patient the truth. If every patient accepted all needed dentistry, how busy would you be? If your patients understood the need for the dentistry as well as you do, what would your acceptance ratio be? Dentist and team tend to confuse patient more than they educate them in terms the patients understand. This program gives your hygienist, dentist and team the verbal skills necessary for high treatment acceptance.
Description of Speaker:
Dr. Mac Lee graduated from Baylor in 1972. In the early 80’s,at the urging of Dr Earl Estepp, he was a pioneer in teaching non-surgical periodontics all across North America. What he was teaching then is now the standard of care in periodontal treatment. His clinical training post dental school came from Pankey, Dawson, Kios and Neuromuscular.
Dr Lee was co-founder of Dental Boot Camp in 1990. He developed all of the dental information and taught thousands of dentists and their dental team for seven years. In 1999, he coauthored the dental consumer book, “Nothin’ Personal Doc, But I Hate Dentists” which led him to be on the Discovery Channel and Oprah XM radio with Dr Mehmet Oz. Mac was also an advisor for three of Oz’s You health books and his television show. Once Dr Lee began to disagree with Oz’s message, he was no longer an advisor.
