It's been a couple weeks since I've added a blog post.
 
I'm sure you've been enjoying the bajillions of emails for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.
 
Funny thing is, none of that seemed to help retailers -- and some are saying that American's Buying Habits and Patterns are changing.
 
I think that's B.S.
 
I think most Americans realize they can't afford to spend like they have in the past, which brings me to...patient financing and personal finance.
 
In my recently released book, Time Tested Secrets To Attract New Patients & Retain Your Existing Patients, I wrote about the two rules every solo GP Dentist should adhere to for survival beyond 2014:
 
1. If you want to do more treatment more often and keep your fees where they should be, you’ll need to embrace true in-office financing. (Not 3rd party financing)
 
and...
 
2. Unless you are financing a patient, you should not be involved in financing yourself. In other words, pay with cash or don't buy it. Period.
 
I know that might sound harsh, hard-line even, but, if you buy into what renowned economist Harry Dent is predicting, the last thing you want to add to your Balance Sheet right now is more liabilities.
 
(Exceptions? Of course. Like my COO at my dental office says, "Never say Never and Always.")
 
Dent believes we might well see a Dow @ 6,000 in 2015.
 
Now that's Ugly.
 
Imagine what an 11,000 point drop would do to this country!
 
Anyway...I go into greater detail in my book (this particular rant or warning is on page 23 or so) about these two steps.
 
Be careful. Be aware.
 
And, go into 2015 with both eyes open and on the prize: PROFITS.
