We here at DentReps are not just another jobs board. We pride ourselves on providing our clients that we work with access to qualified candidates, that are already qualified for the position you are looking to fill. Labor costs are getting more and more expensive in every dental office as the years go by, and many dental professionals take these costs as part of the industry, and don’t actively spend time and effort trying to decrease these costs.

It is important for you to realize that we at DentReps don’t just use our existing and ever growing database to attract candidates for our clients, but we also utilize some of the largest aggregators in the world to advertise such positions.  We try to do what every office should be doing for themselves – spending money advertising their job posting every where!

DentReps provides access to qualified candidates in the dental industry.

Let’s take a look at Indeed as an example. Such is the power of search engines such as Google these days, Google can ruin Indeed’s business model by modifying their algorithms – which incidentally they can do at any time of their choosing. I suppose at this point in time that they are happy to take advertising dollars from companies such as Indeed. But, this highlights another important fact. We feel that job postings are becoming commodities. A simple Google search will show you that there are so many websites in the jobs market that are decreasing the value attributed to these job postings. This has been happening for the last few years, and we certainly expect this to continue.

Many of our competitors still treat these job postings as commodities, and are on a slippery slope, as they fail to diversify and offer true value to their clients. This is why we at DentReps are different.

We realized this trend years back. We migrated from just offering job postings to a model which allowed our clients access to a pool of high quality, qualified candidates. This is what makes us different from all the other job sites out there.

So, what are the advantages of having access to a pool of qualified candidates?

  • Screening resumes – Because the jobs market is so competitive these days, you will find that when you advertise a job that you will receive many, many applications, some of which do not have the necessary qualifications and experience in order to apply. The time required to go through these resumes is time-consuming and an expensive process. By only allowing a pool of already qualified candidates to apply for your job, you can be sure that they have the necessary qualifications and/or experience in order to do the job on offer. In this age of equal opportunities for all, many employers offer an interview to each candidate who has the necessary qualifications in order to do the job. This in itself is time consuming, but weeding out the unqualified candidates before this interview stage saves time and money.

  • Reduced advertising expenditure – If you are looking to advertise a job opening in order for prospective candidates to apply using conventional methods, you will have to use many different mediums to advertise, which can often be expensive. You may need to advertise in a newspaper for example. There is no guarantee that prospective candidates will read the advert, which could lead to wasted advertising dollars being consumed. Increasingly, results from newspaper advertising have been disappointing, and are not generating the necessary applicants to make this medium worthwhile to advertise on.
  • Hire Quicker – It is a proven fact that by offering a job opening to already qualified candidates increases the speed at which an employee is hired. Why is this? Well, you don’t need to spend time trying to attract qualified candidates to the position, because they are already there! This means you can fill the position with the minimum amount of fuss, allowing you to focus on patients rather than on human resource issues.
  • Browse the Continuing Education Credits Tracker – All dental applicants that register their interest in applying for dental jobs on DentReps, are encouraged to document their continuing education credits. If you manage to see a candidate which goes above and beyond the recommended minimum number of credits in order to simply retain their practicing license, you can identify which candidates have the best work ethic, and have the necessary skills in order to carry out the latest techniques which they have been taught.

As we all know, hiring the wrong employee for your advertised position can be incredibly expensive for a dental office. The effort required to replace a recent recruit goes far beyond just the money and time lost. If this happens, you will need to consider the time and money spent on training the recruit, salary, aswell as benefits and time and money spent on workplace integration. Making the right choice at the first time of asking is not only good for your dental practice as a whole in terms of filling the position, it’s good for the long term survival of your practice. There could be a massive impact on your budget for the year if you don’t hire the right fit, which can often tip some dental offices over the edge. Not to mention the damage done to employee morale from replacing the staff member who is not up to the job.

This is why recruiting from a pool of already qualified candidates is so very important in the recruitment process. Failure to do so could mean that you will spend an unnecessary amount of time screening resumes, paying for advertising that is not needed, leading to an extended period of time before the new employee is in place. So what are you waiting for? Subscribe to DentReps in order to have access to a wide and varied pool of qualified candidates, who stand ready and willing to fill your vacancy. If you have any questions about how our process works, be sure to send us an email, as we are on hand to help you improve your recruitment procedures.
