Which repair process describes healing with minimal scaring?

  1. Repair by primary intention
  2. Repair by secondary intention
  3. Repair by tertiary intention
  4. Keloid

Answer: A. Repair by primary intention

Healing by secondary intention describes a scar with imperfection and granulation. The raised border of the uneven scar is called a keloid.

Healing by tertiary intention describes an infection at the site of surgical healing.
